Today we welcome our visiting speaker, Tim Mitchell, Senior Pastor of the Pacific Union College Church, and his wife Carleen. Tim, a native Californian from Fresno, has pastored in Sunnyvale, Sonora, Turlock, and Orosi. He obtained a Master of Divinity from Andrews University. Tim is known for his warmth and enthusiasm, and for being willing to think “outside the box.” Carleen Mitchell is a graduate of Lake Michigan College. A registered nurse, she now works in medical administration. The Mitchells have two sons, Brent and Tyler.
Help City Church by being a P.A./Media Operator! If you have ever been interested in operating the public address system, running PowerPoint programs, etc., this is for you! Training will be offered September 13, immediately following the church service, by Pastor Cristian Iordan from Campus Hill Church. P.A./Media Operators will need to have this training before serving at Glendale City Church. Lunch will be provided.

Performances of the world-famous Oberammergau Passion Play (May-October 2010) in the scenic Bavarian Alps of Germany have always been popular, and the 2010 season is already starting to sell out! This 5-hour enactment of the Easter story by a 2,000-member cast has been performed in thankfulness to God once every 10 years since 1634, when this town was spared from the Black Death.
