Glendale City Church

Saturday, March 10, 2012, 4:00-5:30 p.m.

The Second Saturday Series at the Glendale City Seventh-day Adventist church on March 10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. will feature organist Andrea Anderson. Composers for this concert will include Bach, Mendlessohn-Bartholdy, Franck, and Alain. The concert will be followed by a reception in the fellowship hall allowing guests to meet the artists.

Dr. Andrea Anderson has been playing the organ professionally since she was a freshman in high school. In addition to her work for the church, she has given organ recitals in New York, Michigan, and California. She has performed for the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and has given both organ and piano recitals at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. She serves as Coordinator for Professional Examinations for the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Her work as a pianist has taken her to several foreign countries as well as to most of the 50 states. While pursuing her doctorate at Claremont Graduate University, she was privileged to serve as organist of Glendale City Church. She enjoyed a warm association with this church that honors music in a special way.

She holds both bachelor and master of music degrees from Manhattan School of Music and the PhD from Claremont Graduate University. See more information at www.AndreaAnderson.com.
